The Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute welcomes Expressions of Interest from excellent postdoctoral researchers to apply to the European Commission Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship call (MSCA-PF-2021).
Enjoying an MSCA fellowship at the Josep Carreras Institute will allow you to gain research experience, develop independence and maturity, improve your professional skills and grow your international profile and network. Our labs take the advantage of an experienced community of researchers, working on cutting-edge projects using high-end technologies, side by side of a large hospital in the metropolitan Barcelona area, key for its translational research projects.
The MSCA-PF grant provides living allowance covering one to two years' salary, a mobility allowance and a family allowance (depending of the family status of the fellow), as well as research, training and networking costs, which translates in a very competitive salary conditions in relation to the average cost of living in Barcelona, which is a dynamic, vibrant and multi-cultural European capital city.
Applicants must have a strong publication record corresponding to their research experience (at least a first author publication in IF publication) and provide evidence of independence, a clear idea of what you will achieve during your fellowship and a reflexive understanding of your career development needs. Candidates will be expected to co-create their proposal with their host supervisor.

Eligibility Criteria
We are looking for ambitious, creative, scientifically curious and experienced researchers of any nationality who meet the MSCA-PF eligibility criteria set by the call:
Be in the possession of a doctoral degree at the call deadline. Comply with the mobility rule: you cannot apply for a fellowship in our institution if you have lived or carried out your main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Spain for more than 12 months in the 3 years before the call deadline (15/09/2021). At the call deadline, researchers must have a maximum of 8 years full-time equivalent experience in research from the date that the researcher was in a possession of a doctoral degree. Years of experience outside research, research outside Europe for reintegrating researchers or career breaks (e.g., due to parental leave), will not be considered if a justification is provided.
